Iran Warns U.S.: Any Attack Will Be Met With Full Defence

Iran has issued a sharp warning to the United States following the recent expansion of American military forces in the Middle East. Officials dismissed Washington’s moves as intimidation, asserting that any attempt at aggression would be met with a swift and decisive response.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said Iran is closely monitoring U.S. deployments, including the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group, and stressed that the country’s defensive capabilities are strong and fully prepared. “We will protect our sovereignty at all costs,” Baghaei said, warning that any military action would have severe consequences.

President Masoud Pezeshkian echoed the warning, calling for regional stability and cautioning that escalation could disrupt global energy supplies. The Strait of Hormuz, through which a large portion of the world’s oil passes, remains a critical point in the standoff, and Iranian leaders emphasized that any interference there would provoke serious repercussions.

The tensions follow years of strained U.S.-Iran relations, intensified by disagreements over Tehran’s regional influence and domestic human rights record. While both sides claim to prefer dialogue over conflict, experts warn that continued military posturing risks a dangerous escalation in one of the world’s most strategically important regions.

Iran maintains it is committed to defending its sovereignty but also signals that diplomatic solutions remain possible if external pressures are eased. As the standoff continues, global observers remain on alert, noting the potential impact on regional security and international energy markets.
